NBC ensures The Voice will never leave it, at least for two more seasons

Only hours after NBC's The Voice was pronounced the No. 1 show of the night among adults 18 to 49, the network has celebrated its one thing that seems to be working by ensuring it doesn't go anywhere, doubling down with renewals for a fourth and fifth season. As previously reported, the singing competition show will soon see Shakira and Usher brought in to replace (though perhaps only temporarily) Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green during at least one of those cycles set to air in the spring and fall of 2013, though obviously there's no telling yet which celebrities passing judgment on amateur singers might be involved beyond that. Similarly uncertain: whether there will be any amateur singers left to be judged by then. Still, just think of all the mind-blowing advances in spinning chair technology mankind will have achieved by the fall of 2013.
