NBC gives full-season orders to The Event, Law And Order: LA, and Outsourced
Offering hope to everyone who may have come to believe that this fall TV season was dead on arrival—a wasteland that not even Jimmy Smits could survive—and reason to rend garments for people who really, really hate Outsourced, Entertainment Weekly reports that full-season orders have been granted to NBC’s little-loved (yet defiantly popular) Thursday night spoiler, as well as The Event and Law And Order: L.A. Those three shows join Raising Hope as the only 2010 freshmen series to make the cut so far. No word yet on what a full, back-nine order for Outsourced will mean for Parks And Recreation’s scheduled mid-season return—but seeing as NBC's Angela Bromstad believes the show is "an important part of helping to rebuild our schedule," maybe they could go ahead and make it the cornerstone of some other weeknight?
