NBC gives Timeless a little more time
Looks like Mason Industries’ crack team of time-travel-machine hunters will get a few more opportunities to nab their man—NBC’s just extended Timeless’ first season run to 16 episodes. The drama, from Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan, originally received a 13-episode order in which to tell its tale of intellectual property theft and, oh yes, futzing with the very fabric of space and time. And even though Timeless isn’t exactly riding roughshod over its Monday night competition, its 11.2 million viewers and 2.8 rating among adults 18-49 are enough to earn it some more time. The remaining episodes will air in blocks, between November 14 and December 12, then January 16 to February 20, 2017. After that, Timeless’ Monday spot will be Taken by Luc Besson’s adaptation of his 2008 film.
