NBC lands Edward Snowden’s first American interview

Fresh off the news that it is no longer America’s lowest-rated network, NBC has released an image of anchor Brian Williams sitting in a library with Edward Snowden and a key light, confirming that the network has obtained exclusive rights to Snowden’s first senior pictures.

Williams flew to Moscow to obtain the exclusive pictures, which will be broadcast—along with an interview—in a primetime special on May 28. According to NBC’s press release, the special will also include group portraits of Williams, Snowden, and Glenn Greenwald, the journalist whose work with Snowden to expose NSA secrecy led to a book and soon a movie. No word as to whether Snowden will also be photographed standing next to cloth-draped columns, against a brick wall, or in front of a Constitution backdrop.

The special will mark Snowden’s first American interview since graduating from NSA contractor to NSA leaker. His interested include computers, libertarianism, and anime.
