NBC picks up Grimm for a full season then immediately starts messing with its time slot

Thanks to our latent national desire to believe that the disappointments and horrors of modern existence can be explained away by some people secretly being mythical monsters, and that we are all trapped as ordinary, workaday proles when we are really pretty princesses, fairy tale shows are officially a thing this season—so much so that even NBC’s Grimm has now received a full-season pickup. Once Upon A Time, of course, is still the breakaway hit when it comes to ratings, appointment-television appeal, and splashy, zeitgeist-y magazine spreads, but Grimm has been doing solid-for-NBC numbers in its Friday time slot. So naturally, NBC is going to fuck with it by trying it out in Prime Suspect’s abandoned hour on Thursday, Dec. 8, because NBC is still under its own self-defeating curse as payment for its Seinfeld gold.
