NBC has been developing a show about karate and magic, presumably to fill the void left by The Johnny Karate Super Awesome Musical Explosion Show. After casting Under The Dome’s Natalie Martinez as its lead, the show has started filling out its supporting cast. Rila Fukushima (Arrow, The Wolverine) has been tapped to play a supporting role as a comatose woman who appears in Martinez’s dreams and tells her to do magical karate stuff. Fukushima will have lots of swords to juggle this season, as she also plays Katana in a recurring role on Arrow, and—according to Deadline, anyway—will be playing an unspecified role on Game Of Thrones.
