NBC sees fit to renew Blindspot

Showing a surprising lack of restraint—surely it could have found some way to illustrate the news in a tattoo that would be revealed at next episode’s end—NBC has announced (via Variety) that it’s renewed Blindspot for a second season. In case you aren’t already familiar with the show, Blindspot stars Jaimie Alexander (Thor: The Dark World) as a heavily-tattooed (and live) Jane Doe whose ink provides valuable clues (or inklings) to an FBI agent (Sullivan Stapleton) with which to solve various, probably interconnected, mysteries. The freshman drama has faltered as much as it’s progressed in its story, but continues to fare well in the ratings, which has the network “over the moon,” according to NBC president Jennifer Salke. “We literally can’t wait to see what the second season will bring.” We’re going to take a wild guess and say “tattoos and tattoo-related mysteries.”
