NBC to fulfill TV's mandatory quota of "hot chick who talks to ghosts" shows

What with the recent end of The Ghost Whisperer, and Tru Calling existing solely in the DVD collections of Eliza Dushku fetishists, television has a noticeable dearth of shows about women talking to dead people and helping them solve their unfinished business. Except for Medium. Wait, is there a woman on any of those Ghost Hunters-type shows? Well, whatever: Let’s just say that, as of the current time and day, there is not currently an overabundance of shows about women talking to dead people. And because, like a beautiful woman with unexplained supernatural gifts, solving problems is what NBC does best, it’s just signed a pilot commitment for Ghost Angeles, a series from producer Josh Schwartz that will reunite him with The O.C.’s Rachel Bilson, still the best stuck-up brunette socialite with a secret heart of gold in the history of television, circa 2003 to a little bit later in 2003. According to Deadline, Ghost Angeles will feature Bilson as “a young woman in Los Angeles who can talk to the dead, helping the spirits as much as they are helping her.” True, the spirit of creativity may be dead, but at least it’s probably hanging out with some hot chicks.
