NBC to turn into a hardcore porn channel so gradually, you'll hardly even notice

Newly installed NBC programming chief Bob Greenblatt was just handed a network in dire need of a makeover, so he’s adopting a never-fail tactic for getting attention: Dress yourself up all slutty and bring on the lesbian action. According to the New York Post, Greenblatt is currently meeting with his new Comcast overlords to determine just “how racy they want to go,” and has already made clear his intent to “push the envelope as far as his new bosses will let him”—thereby redefining the boundaries of what’s considered acceptable on broadcast television.

Given the history of shows Greenblatt brought to Showtime (The L Word, The Tudors, Dexter), he’s probably serious; so far his first acquisitions for the network include the romantic comedy I Hate That I Love You (from Will And Grace writer Jhoni Marchiko), about two lesbians who “fall in love and immediately get pregnant,” because when a woman falls in love, God puts a baby in her tummy; Mann’s World, the previously reported project from Sex And The City’s Michael Patrick King, about a straight male celebrity hairstylist dealing with his own fading appeal and, presumably, a million gay panic jokes; and that just-confirmed Wonder Woman reboot, where she will reportedly wear pants like some sort of jezebel heathen. Of course, this all seems pretty tame so far, but that’s just to ease you in. We’re likely only a couple years away from Fist-fucking With The Stars.
