NBC has ordered a pilot for the hour-long drama Game Of Silence. Adapted from the Turkish series of the same name, Game Of Silence centers on a successful lawyer who is blackmailed by childhood friends in possession of a terrible secret. This means it’s not a game show where contestants are challenged to see who can remain silent longest while Howie Mandel reveals their terrible secrets to a studio audience packed with family, friends, and coworkers.
This is the fourth drama recently picked up by the Peacock, including a magical martial arts drama, a magical life coach drama, and a (non)magical marriage crisis drama. That’s in addition to the two new dramas that will follow James Spader’s The Blacklist in replacing NBC’s Thursday night’s comedy line-up with a new reign of cold, mirthless perfection.
