Although we still haven’t heard anything further on that Sandman series in development, 2011 will definitely see much more Neil Gaiman on television: In addition to writing a script for an upcoming episode of Doctor Who, Gaiman has revealed that he’s taping a guest appearance on The Simpsons, posting a series of photos like the above to his Twitter account (as well as this) followed by the explanation, “Went to the Marge Simpson Studios. Recorded my part as ‘Neil Gaiman’, a British author. The accent was the hardest bit to get right.” Judging by the photo of the script, Gaiman is appearing in an episode titled “The Book Job”—and judging by what we know of Gaiman and The Simpsons, he’d be totally cool if a “book job” turns out to be a sex act.
