Neil Marshall and Vincenzo Natali to direct new episodes of Hannibal
Just as a serial killer’s modus operandi can evolve over time, Hannibal creator Bryan Fuller has grown bored of tormenting fans with casting news about the show’s forthcoming third season and has moved onto tweeting tantalizing details about the new directorial hires. As originally reported by Collider, Fuller announced Vincenzo Natali and Neil Marshall will direct a total of four of the season’s 13 episodes. Natali, best known for 2010’s sci-fi horror flick Splice, will helm the season’s first three Italy-based episodes: “Antipasto,” “Primavera,” and “Secondo.” Marshall will step up to direct episode eight, “The Great Red Dragon,” delighting those who hold Marshall’s new horror classic The Descent in as high esteem as Fuller does.
Hannibal will return June 4 with new additions Zachary Quinto, Rutina Wesley, Richard Armitage, and Nina Arianda.
