Neil Young is selling T-shirts for a streetwear company

Neil Young fans now have an option other than a $400 digital music player to ostentatiously display their allegiance to the musician’s Personal Brand. The Fader reports that street style clothing company Supreme has enlisted Young for a new T-shirt emblazoned with his image. The photo on the shirt depicts Young sporting his own Supreme T-shirt, a necklace that his “spiritual but not religious” aunt who lives in New Mexico presumably made for him, and the punishing scowl of a disappointed grandfather. Pitchfork points out that Supreme has released similar T-shirts featuring Lou Reed and Shane MacGowan in the past. Supreme is also using the Young photo and another from the same shoot as part of its marketing campaign online and on posters around New York City.
