Neil Young, Lou Reed, Talking Heads among 12,000 classic concerts uploaded to YouTube
Music Vault, a website that posts videos of live performances from a wealth of artists—including legends such as Neil Young and Lou Reed up to modern acts such as Deer Tick and St. Vincent—has brought 12,000 new clips to YouTube. The site previously hosted high-quality videos on its own domain, but now it will be porting many of these over to the streaming portal. And that’s where people will now likely find themselves getting stuck in a loop of classic concert footage, clicking on video after video of Neil Young’s “Rockin’ In The Free World,” a song that once signified freedom, but now symbolizes the tyrannical control YouTube has over your nights and weekends.
