Never let it be said that Neko Case is one to allow a good song to go by without making a video for it just because that song is a few years old. The 2013 track “Man,” from her album The Worse Things Get, The Harder I Fight, The Harder I Fight, The More I Love You, has just received a celebratory new video, in large part because the tune (and accompanying music video) is a calling card for her new release Truckdriver, Gladiator, Mule, which is the complete vinyl discography box set of her work. Remastered from the original analog tapes, the collection includes some of her rarer and out-of-print albums, appealing to the obsessive completist in you. “Man” sounds as exuberant as ever, but now is harnessed to a joyous video full of dancing kids, like Case wandered onto the set for a Kidz Bop! shoot and lured them all, Pied Piper-style, into a much cooler project.
