Netflix announces unromantic House Of Cards premiere date

Netflix has set a Feb. 27 premiere date for the third season of House Of Cards, dashing the hopes of shiftless lovers determined to make Thai food, sloth, and political intrigue a romantic tradition. The Kevin Spacey-fronted series adorably bowed its second season on Valentine’s Day, following the announcement of another 13-episode order for early 2015. Alas, according to the teaser image on its Twitter feed, those 2015 episodes will presumably bring more of Frank Underwood’s drawling asides about Washington power dynamics, but they’ll arrive too late to provide the backdrop for a celebration of intimate inertia. But good luck staying mad at House Of Cards when it finally shows up with flowers, candy, Kim Dickens, and two members of Pussy Riot.
