Netflix buys Marti Noxon’s anorexia drama To The Bone

Netflix has snatched up a new film from Joss Whedon alum and UnREAL producer Marti Noxon. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the streaming service acquired the rights to Noxon’s directorial debut, the anorexia drama To The Bone, earlier today.

The film stars Lily Collins—whose credits include the similarly osseous The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bone—as a young woman struggling with an eating disorder that is slowly killing her. Keanu Reeves co-stars as the eccentric therapist administering unconventional treatment to her, a big-name casting that might help explain why Netflix reportedly paid $8 million, one of the biggest paydays so far, to acquire the movie at the ongoing Sundance Film Festival.
