Netflix confirms Grace and Frankie will return for a sixth season in 2020
Netflix might be hiking its prices, but you can’t say it’s not bringing the goods. Just a few days before the premiere of Grace and Frankie’s fifth outing, the streamer has revealed that Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin will return for a sixth season of cathartic cussing in 2020. That must bode well for the upcoming season, which will see the pair link up with the likes of RuPaul and Nicole Richie.
Creator Marta Kauffman has said that she’d keep the show running as Netflix will let her, telling Indiewire last year that she’s up for doing it “as long as it’s still comfortable for Jane and Lily.” She added, “It could be years and years. Who knows?”
Per the below trailer, season five will find the titular characters’ bond put to the test when they embrace the “fuck-it life.” As their children—played by June Diane Raphael, Ethan Embry, Baron Vaughn, and Brooklyn Decker—try and sell their beach house, the ladies indulge in sleepovers, weed gummies, and burritos.
Check it out below in advance of the season’s January 18 premiere.
