Listen up, nerds! Netflix’s Geeked Week is back

Listen up, nerds! Netflix’s Geeked Week is back

Did you miss out on San Diego Comic-Con, but still want to be a part of some exclusive, fandom-focused action? You still have a chance, even if tickets to New York’s Comic-Con in October are a little out of your budget. Netflix just announced that their now-annual Geeked Week is returning this September, with all-new sneak peeks, exclusive clips, and other first-look content. There probably won’t be any reveals on the level of Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom or Jennifer Garner emerging from that elevator, but Netflix fans—especially anyone excited for the new seasons of Stranger Things and Squid Game—should definitely consider tuning in.

Geeked Week 2024—the fourth the streamer has hosted—will feature multiple days of live streams and bonus videos from “Netflix’s most beloved Geeked titles,” running from September 16 through 19. Netflix is also stepping it up this year (perhaps in an attempt to siphon some of the Comic-Con buzz). For the first time, the streamer will be hosting an in-person fan event to cap off the week, on September 19 in Atlanta. Further details about the event haven’t been released as of this writing, but anyone looking for a last-minute cosplay should probably start dusting off those Squid Game tracksuits from Halloween 2021 now.

The streamer also released a short teaser for the event today, featuring clips from tentpole series like Wednesday, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Black Mirror (maybe we’re getting a season 7 date announcement?), in addition to Stranger Things and Squid Game, of course.

The teaser doesn’t reveal much else, but Netflix promised that more details would be released in the coming weeks. Last year, Geeked Week gave us some of our first looks at Stranger Things season 5, the final season of Umbrella Academy, and 3 Body Problem, so there’s definitely a lot to look forward to with this year’s lineup.
