Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Friday, May 24 and Saturday, May 25. All times are Eastern.

Top picks

She’s Gotta Have It (Netflix, Friday, 3:01 a.m, complete second season): This Spike Lee joint would be worth checking out for the engaging cast alone—DeWanda Wise! Anthony Ramos! Ilfenesh Hadera! Yet despite a few bumps in the road, the winning (if uneven) first season of this timely, refreshing update made us more than eager to see what comes next.

Look for Ashley Ray-Harris’ pre-air review.

Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. (ABC, Friday, 8 p.m.): This preview doesn’t say much—the gang still wants to rescue Fitz, and there’s gambling involved—but tonight’s episode is called “Fear and Loathing On The Planet Of Kitson” and the episode description uses the word “groovier,” as in, “While Fitz and Enoch try their luck at the casino, nearby, Daisy and Simmons find themselves in a much… groovier situation.”

So, we’re sold. Alex McLevy will roll the dice and write his recap.

Regular coverage

Wild card

What/If (Netflix, Friday, 3:10 a.m., complete first season): If you’re in the mood for something a little frothier (and considerably more ridiculous), the first season of this new Netflix anthology series might be just the thing. Mike Kelley (ABC’s Revenge) created this Indecent Proposal-inspired nighttime soap opera, which stars Renee Zellweger as a mysterious venture capitalist and terrifying inspirational figure who sets her financial sights on a young scientist (Jane Levy) and her nefarious machination-sights on both the scientist and her husband (Blake Jenner).

Look for Gwen Ihnat’s pre-air review, and for Zellweger’s impressive side-eye skills.
