Netflix is getting on that hot Ted Bundy content train

Netflix has just signed up for some fresh new content about America’s most boyish, Zac Efron-y serial killer, with THR reporting tonight that the streaming service has just picked up a new docuseries about multiple murderer/psychopathic dreamboat Ted Bundy.

The new series—titled Conversations With AKiller: The Ted Bundy Tapes—is being assembled by Joe Berlinger, the long-time documentarian who also directed upcoming Sundance debut Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile, a narrative take on Bundy’s crimes with Efron in the starring role. The Netflix series, meanwhile, will star a little fella by the name of Theodore Robert Bundy himself, heavily relying on interview tapes with the killer from his time on Death Row. The four-part series is slated to debut on January 24, 2019, the 30th anniversary of Bundy’s execution for the murders of more than 30 people, and will also examine Bundy’s quickly escalating mystique, which reached its grim peak in 1980, when he married a former co-worker, Carol Anne Boone, in the midst of one of his several trials for murder.
