Netflix makes it its beeswax to film that Wet Hot American Summer TV series

Netflix, the kind-hearted cat lady of cult comedies, has apparently taken in another stray as E! News reports that the Wet Hot American Summer TV series we reported on back in May is moving forward and will be shooting soon. However, instead of a 10-episode series as we originally thought, Netflix is apparently planning a miniseries, not like it matters because you’ll be watching it all in one sitting anyway.

“Sources” tell E! that the project is coming together quickly, and is set to begin production in January. But the report also says that none of the original cast has been confirmed to appear in the miniseries, like they had become big movie and TV stars in the interim or something. Maybe Netflix is just saying January so it can begin filming in February, and we’ll start seeing casting announcements soon. In the meantime, let’s speculate on fantasy casts for Wet Hot American Summer: The Next Generation.
