Netflix renews BoJack Horseman for a sixth season of emotional drama and wacky puns

Netflix has been on a cancellation streak lately, with American Vandal, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist all getting the boot, but fans of Raphael Bob-Waksberg’s BoJack Horseman have nothing to worry about—or at least nothing beyond the usual existential misery that BoJack Horseman fans worry about. In an appropriately self-referential Twitter post, the people behind BoJack have announced that Netflix has renewed the series for a sixth season. We don’t know when the new season will premiere (though next September seems like a safe bet), but a press release does say that season six will involve Will Arnett’s Bojack teaming up with his “human sidekick” Todd and his agent Princess Carolyn to make a big showbiz comeback. That’s really the plot of every season of BoJack Horseman, though, so don’t bother thinking about that synopsis too deeply.
