Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why is getting a second season
Despite concerns that it might be kind of bad and dangerous, Netflix’s teen suicide drama/weird revenge thriller 13 Reasons Why has been renewed for a second season. This comes from The Hollywood Reporter, which says Netflix has been ready to make this deal since last week, but now the streaming service has made a formal announcement about it. Apparently, the second season “picks up in the aftermath of Hannah Baker’s (Katherine Langford) death and the start of the characters’ complicated journeys toward healing and recovery,” which sounds like a lot like the setup for the first season, but the new episodes will presumably deal with some of the shocking twists and big reveals that happened in those episodes.
Season two of 13 Reasons Why will consist of another 13 hourlong episodes, and it’s set to premiere in 2018. Casting details have not been announced, but star Dylan Minnette will presumably return.
