Considering the very existence of Netflix is what enables its users to watch an endless stream of content, and considering its original shows are practically tailor-made to watch in one sitting, Netflix can get pretty judgmental when it asks if you’re still watching. In the Boo Ya Pictures video below, Netflix’s judging escalates to its logical conclusion, which is really, “Are you sure you don’t want to see the world?”
Lots of people have likely seen the initial message, as a survey done by Netflix found that 61 percent of the people surveyed regularly binge-watch. But binge-watching as defined by the survey is “watching between 2-6 episodes of the same TV show in one sitting.” That means a “binge-watch,” according to Netflix, can range from less than an hour with two episodes of the 26-minute long Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt to nearly 100 minutes with two back-to-back episodes of House Of Cards. Not to mention—what about more than six episodes? That might actually fit the definition of “binge,” which is “a short period of time when you do too much of something.” (Emphasis added, because two episodes of Kimmy Schmidt in a row are hardly too much quality television.)
