With the premiere of Luke Cage now just a month away, Netflix is offering another glimpse at the bulletproof hero. The first full trailer showed Cage (Mike Colter) assume the mantle of Harlem’s Defender, but his reputation doesn’t exactly precede him in this new teaser. When he bursts into a boxing gym in search of some crime boss, he singlehandedly takes out half the guy’s henchmen without breaking a sweat. The armed bad guys try to waste Cage, who just sighs that they obviously “haven’t heard of [him]” if they’re just going to wreck his clothes—which he’s tired of replacing—with their bullets. We don’t see Cage finish the job, but we imagine that no one (left alive) will have any trouble believing the hype going forward.
Luke Cage’s first season premieres September 30 on Netflix.
