Never mind, Neil Young is okay with Donald Trump now

Probably after realizing he’s Canadian and can remove himself from this whole mess at any time, Neil Young seems to have acquiesced to the growing storm(front) of support for Donald Trump. Young—who made headlines back when we all thought this was a hilarious goddamned joke last year by protesting Trump’s use of his song “Keep On Rocking In The Free World” at rallies—now accepts that the novelty police light in a wig can, in fact use the song, because he has money for a license. Plus, he stopped using it, because he cares. Here’s what Young told Reuters:

[Trump] actually got a license to use it. I mean, he said he did and I believe him. So I got nothing against him. You know, once the music goes out, everybody can use it for anything. But if the artist who made it is saying you never spoke to them, if that means something to you, you probably will stop playing it. And it meant something to Donald and he stopped.

Neil Young means something to Donald Trump, huh? Guess that makes two things Donald Trump cares about.
