New albums coming from Liars and Sigur Ros

Arty indie-rockers Liars announced that it will release their sixth, presently untitled album June 5. The LP was recorded in L.A. and is described as "simultaneously the most accessible and most challenging release" of the band's career, which is simultaneously fraught with meaning and essentially meaningless. Pitchfork reports that another arty indie-rock band, Sigur Ros, has stated plans to release its next, presently untitled album May 28. Leader Jonsi recently told Q magazine that the record is heavy on electronics and will utilize a children's choir. (Which coupled with this album means we might have a new kiddie choir trend in music.) Added Jonsi, "the music kind of just rolls over you" but "in a good way."
