New Back To The Future, Jurassic Park games on the way

Telltale Games, makers of episodic titles based on Wallace And Grommit and CSI, has announced that it will soon do the same for the Back To The Future and Jurassic Park franchises, developing games that, while not technically sequels, will tell new stories set in the worlds established in the films. According to a statement from CEO Dan Connors, Back To The Future “may include a DeLorean ride back to the 1970s,” while the new Jurassic Park would “add new backstories to the series' man-versus-dinosaur mythology” (a backstory that apparently wasn’t developed sufficiently in Jeff Goldblum’s “God creates dinosaurs. God destroys dinosaurs. God creates man. Man destroys God. Man creates dinosaurs” monologue). And while we usually like to be cautiously optimistic around here, we just don’t see any way that a new Back To The Future game could possibly improve upon the original for the Nintendo, which faithfully translated all of the film’s exciting “walking around Hill Valley picking up clocks while trying to avoid girls with hula hoops” scenes.
