New billboard suggests Trump is every asshole you’ve ever played games with online

One of the most baffling political billboards of what’s been our nation’s most baffling presidential election just popped up in Orlando. Its message? “Donald Trump mains Hanzo and complains about team comp in chat.” That’s not exactly as pithy as “In your guts, you know he’s nuts,” but if you’re one of the 20 million people who’ve played Overwatch, a team-based first-person shooter game, you’d know it’s a vicious and damning condemnation that compares Trump to the most repugnant kind of internet asshole you just pray you’re never forced to team up with. He won’t switch away from his beloved Hanzo, regardless of whether the last thing your team needs is a slow-moving samurai archer, and when his selfish, impractical choice drags everyone down, he’ll throw out every excuse in the book to deflect blame: “LOL this team sux,” “the other team uses teh hax,” “this stupid game is laggy af.”

The billboard is the brainchild of the Nuisance Committee, a political action committee founded by the folks behind Cards Against Humanity. The organization has previously put together two other Cards Against Humanity-style anti-Trump campaigns. The new Overwatch ad is part of a larger campaign called “Trump Is Not A Team Player.” It’s accompanied by a website dedicated to expanding that gaming metaphor even further, using the Republican nominee’s own excuses and protestations to draw some uncanny parallels between Trump and the selfish dirtbags you encounter when playing games online. While it kindly glosses over their shared penchant for racist and misogynist ravings, the site does include drawings of Trump dressed as the obnoxious Overwatch characters he and his fellow blowhards would be most likely to pick. Here he is as a sad robot ninja, for example:
