New Daredevil movie will be based on Frank Miller storyline
Those who were only cautiously invested in another potential Daredevil film now have reason to be interested—and the attendant fear of being massively disappointed—knowing that the franchise reboot will use as its basis Frank Miller’s acclaimed Born Again run. According to The Hollywood Reporter, that highly regarded storyline will form the genesis of a script from Fringe writer Brad Caleb Kane, an avowed fan of the character. Of course, Kane’s feature work to date has been limited to Brooklyn’s Finest and spec scripts like DreamWorks’ View-Master movie, and it will still be directed by David Slade of 30 Days Of Night and Twilight: Eclipse fame, all of which may or may not affect your excitement level. But at least you know they’re starting out with strong source material, from before Frank Miller went insane.
