New Dumbo trailer is even weirder than the last one

If you were crestfallen by Disney not dropping a Dumbo trailer during the Super Bowl, we have some good news. The latest trailer for Tim Burton’s live-action reimagining of the animated classic has arrived, and somehow it’s even more bizarre than the last. Good luck getting Danny DeVito’s ringmaster greedily shouting “We got a baby! We got a baby!” out of your brain.

Overlooking the weirdly clunky editing, the trailer doesn’t really reveal much in the way of exciting new footage–you’ve seen the original Dumbo, you know the drill. There’s a baby elephant with giant ears and everyone thinks he’s ugly for some reason, even though he just looks like a baby elephant. Also, he flies and makes some friends and Michael Keaton (doing his best Danny Huston) thinks there just might be something to this little guy.

Here’s the official synopsis:

From Disney and visionary director Tim Burton, the all-new grand live-action adventure “Dumbo” expands on the beloved classic story where differences are celebrated, family is cherished and dreams take flight. Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) enlists former star Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and his children Milly (Nico Parker) and Joe (Finley Hobbins) to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when they discover that Dumbo can fly, the circus makes an incredible comeback, attracting persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), who recruits the peculiar pachyderm for his newest, larger-than-life entertainment venture, Dreamland. Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant (Eva Green), until Holt learns that beneath its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets.

The new Dumbo also stars Colin Farrell, Eva Green, Nico Parker, and Finley Hobbins, and will flap its way into theaters on March 29.
