New Feistodon video app makes mixing Feist and Mastodon that much easier
Today marks the digital release of the Feist and Mastodon collaboration, Feistodon. The split single—which was first released as a 7-inch back in April for Record Store Day—features both acts covering a song from the other’s battery—Feist performs Mastodon’s “Black Tongue” and Mastodon performs Feist’s “A Commotion.”
Also dropping today is the video for the single, which offers the opportunity for another type of collaboration. The clip, directed by Vice Cooler, sits in an interactive application that allows users to crossfade between both versions of “A Commotion,” allowing for a different Feistodon experience each time.
Feist is in the process of wrapping up her tour for 2011’s Metals with a few dates in Europe and Canada.
