New Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 stills feature backpacks, holes, and Mantis

We’ve already seen a couple of trailers for Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, but if they moved a little too much for your tastes, the studio has released a handful of static images that will give you a chance to look a bit more closely at baby Groot, newcomer Mantis (played by Pom Klementieff), and the stylish new space-mohawk worn by Michael Rooker’s Yondu. This comes from USA Today, which also has some concept art and photos from Comic-Con last year. Here are some highlights from the stills:

This is Rocket and Groot looking through a hole they just blasted in someone/something.

Here’s Peter Quill and Drax carrying backpacks. Note how Quill is only wearing one strap, which is how you know he’s a cool dude.

Here’s Drax and Mantis looking at something interesting.

Here’s Yondu and Rocket walking across a space-bridge.

This is Peter Quill standing in a big space-hole.

Finally, here’s a better glimpse at baby Groot, who happens to look very excited in this image. If you’ve seen those trailers, you probably know that he’s excited because he’s going to kill everyone with a bomb.

You can see a few more images at USA Today, and Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 will be in theaters on May 5.
