New Order to tour North America for the first time in seven years

British post-punk/synthpop pioneers New Order will tour North America this fall for the first time in seven years. The group will be sans original bassist Peter Hook, who left in 2007 and has since devoted his time to things like playing Joy Division tribute shows and writing an autobiography.

New Order recently played festivals in Europe and a string of sold-out U.K. dates. Its U.S. tour kicks off Oct. 5 at the Fox Theatre in Oakland, California, and will stop in Toronto on Oct. 23 for the group’s first show in Canada since 2001.

Oct. 5—Fox Theatre—Oakland, California
Oct. 7—Greek Theatre—Los Angeles, California
Oct. 10—Broomfield First Bank Center—Denver, Colorado
Oct. 12—Palladium—Dallas, Texas
Oct. 18—Roseland—New York, New York
Oct. 21—Aragon Ballroom—Chicago, Illinois
Oct. 23—Sony Center—Toronto, Ontario
