Missed yesterday: The Smashing Pumpkins annouced this week that its new album is called Zeitgeist and should come out this summer. According to the Billboard.com story, the message came to folks who are MySpace friends with the Pumpkins—a shame, considering the wonderful nonsense Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlain have offered on the relatively public portion of their space.
