New Star Wars: The Last Jedi photos feature Luke, Rey, and space penguins

So far, we’ve seen a few tantalizing glimpses of Luke Skywalker’s new animals friends in Stars Wars: The Last Jedi, but other than the fact that they’re called porgs, that they’re very cute, and that we should not think of them as Ewoks, we haven’t gotten a very good look at the furry space penguins just yet. Finally, though, Entertainment Weekly has come through with a big batch of new photos from The Last Jedi, one of which prominently features a porg hanging out with Chewbacca. You can see some of the photos below:

The porg’s position in the Millennium Falcon strongly suggests that this porg will be the new Han Solo, dropping one-liners, wearing a vest, and being a general badass. Or maybe it’ll just be a cute guy who stays out of the way while the real heroes do cool stuff. Either way, Entertainment Weekly’s tweet also has photos of Rey and Poe, with Rey reportedly at “the ruins of the first Jedi temple” and Poe in his black X-Wing as he prepares for a mission.

If you got to Entertainment Weekly’s website, you can check out a handful of other photos, including a meeting between Luke and Rey that doesn’t look especially friendly, some proof that Finn won’t spend the whole movie in a coma, a couple of turtle nuns, Kylo Ren’s cool scar, Kylo Ren’s cool spaceship, and a close-up of Supreme Leader Snoke’s Praetorian Guard—who just look like the result of someone taking Emperor Palpatine’s guards from Return Of The Jedi and wondering what you’d get if they were somehow more red.

The Last Jedi will be in theaters on December 15, at which point you’ll finally get to see these crazy porgs in action.
