Today, Disney released a new trailer for Tim Burton's very Tim Burton-y take on Alice In Wonderland, and it's pretty sweet. Burton muses Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter look every bit as bizarre as expected, with Depp's Mad Hatter making his Willy Wonka look like Tom DeLay by comparison.
The film isn't another retelling of Alice In Wonderland, but a sort of update: Alice, now 19, returns to Wonderland to find that the Red Queen (Bonham Carter) has stepped up her reign of terror, so Alice and friends lead a revolt.
The film opens March 5 in regular format and, of course, 3-D. The trailer's below.
