New theory proposes through lines between four of Tom Hanks' most dramatic movies

Official Comedy, a group savvy enough to own that tag on YouTube, has put together a compilation of Tom Hanks films that dramatically and rather seamlessly interworks Forrest Gump, Apollo 13, Castaway, and the forthcoming Captain Phillips. Tom Hanks: The Movie is obviously a bit of a stretch, but it’s a fun, smart look at the through lines in Hanks’ output over the last 20 years—minus Larry Crowne, of course.
