The first trailer for Fox’s Making History established the basic premise of the show, with Adam Pally revealing his duffel bag-based time machine and bringing Yassir Lester to 1775, but the latest teaser that the network unveiled during the TCA press tour today throws some fun new wrinkles into the mix. For starters, Pally’s Revolutionary War-era girlfriend (played by Leighton Meester) ends up traveling to the future and joining him in 2017, along with a pair of jackasses named Sam Adams and John Hancock. Then, we get a little tease of another time period that Pally and Lester will visit when they’re done fixing things in 1775, but it doesn’t seem like that trip is going to go any smoother.
Making History is getting a nine-episode first season, and it will premiere on March 5.
