One set of Tumblr users has taken it upon themselves to clean up rap music. Columbia University pals Bob Vulfov and Eli Grober have built Respectful Rappers, a blog that attempts to “address the aggression and misogyny in rap music.” Simultaneously smart and a little smarmy, the blog is built out of the friends’ mutual love for rap and believe that “it’s time to stop demeaning gay people and calling women ‘bitches.’” Some of their edited images are below, and a lot more are on their site.
