New X-Men promo reminds the world that giant killer robots can keep us all safe
Not familiar with Trask Industries? You will be soon. Especially if you happen to have the mutant power of shooting beams of concentrated energy from your eye sockets or absorbing the life forces of those around you.
This promotional video ostensibly for the company—but really for Fox's upcoming Bryan Singer-directed X-Men: Days of Future Past—was released along with a corporate website for Trask Industriest that features footage of a brilliantly porn-mustachioed Peter Dinklage as the classic Stan Lee and Jack Kirby-created mutant-hating scientist Bolivar Trask. The video provides the first look at the giant Sentinel robots built to protect humanity from mutant-kind and does a pretty good job of capturing the spirit of those purposefully-vague unsettlingly-soothing corporate ad-buys that usually only hint at the terrible monstrosities of science that will soon be unleashed upon the world.
