News from the thin line between imagination and reality #3

Jillion-way rap feud? MTV News previews an interview in which Lil Wayne tells Complex magazine that Jay-Z is not, as he claims, hip-hop's savior. The story also hints that Wayne knocks The Clipse, Pharrell Williams, and Young Buck. Apparently the rule now is to respond to a big boast with a lesser, more generic boast:

"I don't like what he's saying about how he had to come back because hip-hop's dead and we need him," Wayne said. "What the [fuck] do you mean? If anything it's reborn, so he's probably having a problem with that. You left on a good note, and all of the artists were saying, 'Yo, this is Jay's house. He's the best.' Now he comes back and still thinks it's his house. … It's not your house anymore, and I'm better than you."

Colbert vs. Decemberists off to slow start? So far, only one video has come in for the Decemberists/Stephen Colbert green screen challenge. (A summary here.) Seriously, there have got to be more people who like both, so one might as well be patient.

Celebrities' public embarrassments somehow surprising: MTV News asks, "why do stars make bad choices"? They called up experts and everything. A guess: It's probably got something to do with whatever infernal brain disease makes MTV's site attack you with obtrusive ads and video you aren't looking for when you're just scanning news sites for your job. Ahem.
