Next James Bond film delayed indefinitely
No longer just a rumor randomly attributed to shit British tabloids make up, the 23rd James Bond film—known only as Bond 23—has been delayed indefinitely due to the “uncertain future” of MGM, which is still languishing on the auction block. Sam Mendes was developing the next entry in the newly rebooted, Daniel Craig-starring franchise for a possible release in winter 2011. However, today came the announcement from producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli that the project has been suspended with no new timetable in sight. As Movieline points out, this could lead to the longest period without a new Bond film “since the interim between the Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan eras.”
