Nicholson on Ledger: "I warned him"

Of all the celebrity comments in response to the passing of Heath Ledger, the strangest comes from Jack Nicholson, who said simply: "Well, I warned him." This appears to be a reference to Ledger's role as The Joker in The Dark Knight, though what exactly Jack "warned" him about is unclear. What is clear is that Terry Gilliam remains one of the world's most star-crossed filmmakers. His Ledger-led upcoming film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus has temporarily been shut down, as the project's insurance company decides whether to re-cast Ledger's part, shoot around him, or shut down completely.
