Nick Cannon will host a Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous reboot for NBC
Wealthy people have always been one of most enigmatic groups in human society. For centuries, us disgusting poor people have wondered what their lives are like—since they must be so much more exciting than our own. Do they play around in the mud like we do? Do they also have to forage for their food in the wilderness, or can they afford to buy food in a store? Mostly, though, we just want to know what their bedrooms look like.
Thankfully, NBC is finally going to examine the lifestyles of the rich and famous with a revived version of the classic Robin Leach-hosted series Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this comic book movie-style reboot will be hosted by Nick Cannon, and the show will apparently “focus heavily on Cannon’s point of view.” Presumably, that means that the new Lifestyles will be more about him going into famous people’s homes and chatting them up instead of just a boring tour of the house—like you’d see on some pretenders to the throne. Oh, and if this all sounds suspiciously familiar, it’s because the now-defunct Style Network tried to do this exact same thing last year. NBC has just picked up the pilot for now, so it will still be a while before we get to see how these rich and vastly superior people live their vastly superior lives.
Also, since the song is now stuck in our heads, here’s Good Charlotte’s “Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous”:
