Nick Cave’s son dies after falling from 60-foot cliff
The Telegraph is reporting that 15-year-old Arthur Cave, son of musician Nick Cave, has died after falling from the 60-foot-high cliffs known as Ovingdean Gap in East Sussex, England.
Police have confirmed Cave’s death after he was discovered unconscious on the beach at the base of the cliffs. First aid was performed before the teen was airlifted to a nearby hospital, where he later died from injuries sustained in the fall. Police are ruling the death accidental.
Nick and Susie Cave have issued the following statement:
Our son Arthur died on Tuesday evening. He was our beautiful, happy loving boy. We ask that we be given the privacy our family needs to grieve at this difficult time.
In addition to his parents, Arthur is survived by his 15-year-old twin brother, Earl.
