Nickelodeon launches streaming service devoted to sweet, sweet ‘90s nostalgia

This summer, we’ve reported on the impending or ongoing revivals of Double Dare, Invader Zim, and Rugrats, all of which stand to benefit from two separate audiences: kids, and nostalgic grown-ups (parents and otherwise). VRV’s new streaming channel, NickSplat, would seem to be aimed squarely at those two groups, and also at anyone who might like Doug—so everyone, then.

NickSplat ($6 per month) will feature a rotating selection of Nickelodeon programs from the end of the end of the last century, including animated shows, live-action scripted series, game shows, and sketch shows. The current crop includes one or two seasons of classics like All That, Are You Afraid Of The Dark?, Salute Your Shorts, Guts, Rocko’s Modern Life, Hey Dude, Clarissa Explains It All, CatDog, and, of course, Doug. You’ve gotta have Doug.

You can read the full list of included programs over at Mashable, and Rugrats will presumably show up at some point as well. But again, it already has Doug.
