Nicki Minaj, Danny Elfman to sex up the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack
Say what you will about Fifty Shades Of Grey, but at least it had the benefit of an interesting Beyoncé song on its soundtrack, even if the song was just a remix of one that everybody liked more than a decade ago. The trailers for that film’s sequel, Fifty Shades Darker, make it look like it’s going to throw some fun stalker drama in with all of the adult situations, but it’s not going to have the crutch of a reasonably good Beyoncé remix to lean on this time.
Thankfully, according to Entertainment Weekly, its soundtrack will have a “star-studded tracklist” that includes an original song from Taylor Swift and ZAYN called “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever (Fifty Shades Darker),” as well as new music from Sia, Nicki Minaj, Halsey, Tove Lo, and John Legend. There’s even a Danny Elfman track called “On His Knees” that will probably be very sexy, just like all Danny Elfman soundtrack work. Surely most The A.V. Club readers have had some wild, Fifty Shades Of Grey-style action while listening to the Simpsons theme.
