Nicki Minaj drops 2 new songs, including the Street Fighter-inspired "Chun-Li"
In a move that reportedly has nothing to do with Cardi B, who just dropped her debut album on Friday, Nicki Minaj has shared a pair of new singles from her upcoming album, her first since The Pinkprint way back in 2014. The two tracks are “Barbie Tingz” and “Chun-Li,” the latter reportedly inspired by the vengeful backstory of the character from the Street Fighter video games. The cover art for the single even features Minaj in the same hairstyle as the character, and while the lyrics aren’t wholly dedicated to the spinning bird kick or killing M. Bison, there are a couple of geek-friendly nods to Storm from The X-Men and Lara Croft from Tomb Raider.

Minaj hasn’t announced when this new album will be released, but that could be because she’s been busy ruling over a New York City borough or just being generally awesome.
